INSTANT CLASSIC: ESPN Classic To Televise Men's Hoops 5OT Win Over Texas A&M
ESPN Classic will televise, for the first time, the epic five-overtime marathon game between then-No. 25 Baylor and then-No. 18/16 Texas A&M played Jan. 23 in College Station (Baylor won 116-110). The game, which has yet to be televised in its entirety, will air on ESPN Classic Wednesday, March 5, at 5 p.m. CST, immediately prior to the telecast of the highly anticipated rematch between the schools to air live on ESPN2 at 8 p.m. CST from Waco. The epic three-and-a-half hour game (the longest in Big 12 Conference and both school's histories) set seven Big 12 Conference records, six Baylor school records and has been referred to by some as this season's game of the year in college basketball. The dramatic game instantly garnered media attention nationwide and helped shine the national spotlight on Baylor's turnaround season. ESPN Classic created the production from three video sources (center court jumbotron camera and cameras underneath each basket) and the Texas Aggie Radio Network call of the game. ESPN Classic added graphics and replays. ESPN Classic listings for Central Texas: BAYLOR 116 - TEXAS A&M 110 5OT BAYLOR SCHOOL RECORDS - SINGLE GAME
