The Baylor women's golf team wrapped up the first day of the Big 12 Championship in 11th place on Friday with a combined team score of 56-over par (344). Oklahoma State led the field with a score of 15-over (303) at their home course of Karsten Creek.

Sophomore Hannah Burke led Baylor with a first round 77, tying her for fourth place individually. She looks to improve upon her eighth place finish in last year's Big 12 Championship.

Sophomore Kristen Hendrix turned in an 88 while Freshmen Jordan Rhodes and Morgan Chambers finished with an 89 and 90 respectively in their first ever action in the Big 12 Championship. Senior Sian Reddick carded a 93.

The Bears look to make up some ground in the second round on Saturday.
