1. You were a first team All-Big 12 Conference Selection last year and ranked third on the team in batting average. What have you done to improve your game this year?
We just worked on my weaknesses as a hitter and tried to improve my overall skills at the plate. The team and I work a lot individually with our hitting coach, especially on days off. It's really just going out everyday and hitting. It sounds simple, but that is what it takes.
2. Baylor softball has a no. 11 ranking in the country, what are your team's expectations for the rest this year?
We just go out everyday and try to improve ourselves and make this team stronger. We know that we're fighting for respect and trying to put Baylor on the map, so we just do our best and play hard.
3. Explain how this program has progressed since you arrived here?
I visited Baylor knowing that Coach Moore had built this program up from pretty much nothing. Since I've been here we've just continued to improve as we fight to make a name for ourselves in the Big 12 and in the country. We practice like we play, always going full out and giving it everything we've got.
4. How would you describe Coach Moore and what things has he done to help you improve your game?
Coach Moore has a lot of different dimensions as far as his coaching style. He really does a good job of learning our individual strengths; then he motivates us according to how we perform best. Personally, he really gets on to me about what I'm doing wrong because I really play best when I'm kind of mad. He lets all of us know what he expects, but at the same time, he really treats us with respect.
