What has been your biggest individual challenge this season?

I would have to say that getting on base at the beginning of the game has been the biggest challenge to me this season. Not only must I be able to get on base as a slapper, but being the number one hitter means that it is my job to lead off the game and to get on base. When I do get on base as the first batter, it really encourages my team and sets the tone for the rest of the game.

What is the most positive thing you have seen from your team this season?

Our team has really come around with showing our passion for the game.  In every Big 12 game so far, every single player has been all out on and off of the field.  Whether it means diving for every ball, or screaming until we lose our voices in the dugout, this team has really picked up the intensity and shown that we want it more than anyone.

What has been your greatest Baylor softball moment so far this season?

I would have to say the culmination of events in the last game of the Arizona series as we won two-of-three from them.  After watching Arizona for many years and knowing the talent of their players and coaches, I was very excited to play them.  I ended up going 2-4, scoring 2 runs, and making some good catches in the outfield which made me feel like I really did my job to help in the win.

What are your post college ambitions?

As of now, I plan on going to medical school to become an orthopedic surgeon.

Post-season is coming up, what do you do to get focused?

I will just continue to work hard on my game and take one game at a time. If we continue to give our all on and off the field, I think this team could be unstoppable.
